SYT AUDITION WORKSHOPS
Audition workshops are a great way to experience the audition process prior to auditions. At each workshop, students will participate in a mock audition and receive individualized guidance from SYT staff on audition techniques and how to "get that role!"
PREPARING FOR THE WORKSHOP
-
For workshops for plays, all students should bring a 30-second to 1-minute monologue to work on at the workshop. Please bring the monologue printed so the instructor can look at the text.
-
For workshops for musicals, all students should bring 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
-
We recommend that you come with the monologue/song already memorized, or mostly memorized.
-
If your child does not have a monologue/song, options will be emailed to you after registration. You may also pick materials up at the SYT office.
