From page to stage to classroom, acclaimed children’s books come to life with SYT's STORYBOOK LIVE!

Literature and theatre join forces in Spartanburg Youth Theatre's latest virtual series designed to support your classroom's curriculum needs.

A theatrical accompaniment, performed by Spartanburg Youth Theatre (SYT) actors will captivate virtual audiences as an engaging narrator reads the book aloud. Additionally, educators will receive an enrichment guide with activities linked to SC content standards.

  • A link to virtual curriculum companion can be found below each video that corresponds to the storybook and is linked to SC education standards.

  • Each storybook video is between 10-15 minutes.

CURRICULUM COMPANION

  • Most of our storybooks have an accompanying virtual and interactive curriculum companion that includes a variety of activities and resources that will help students test their memories, push them to think harder, and make connections to the book! Click the button below each video above to access the curriculum companions.

ARE THE STORYBOOKS ACTUALLY LIVE?

  • We are bringing your beloved storybooks to life, however these are not live streamed. Storybook Live! performances were filmed ahead of time, and then posted to stream. You can use the storybooks during a time that is convenient for you.

  • HOW LONG ARE THE STORYBOOKS?
    • Each storybook is between 10-15 minutes long.
  • CAN I DOWNLOAD THE VIDEOS?
    • You cannot download the videos to keep, but you can watch them from this website as many times as you want!
  • CAN I MAKE THE VIDEOS FULL SCREEN?
    • Yes! Simply click the     icon in the bottom right corner of the video window above.​
  • IS THERE A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TIMES I CAN WATCH THE VIDEOS?
    • There is not a maximum amount of views. Watch them as many times as your heart desires!
  • HOW LONG WILL THESE VIDEOS BE AVAILABLE?
    • All storybooks will be available 24/7 on this website indefinitely.​
